This hard drive is a dedicated component of the 01YM589 2U 12 bay NVMe expansion enclosure, used to significantly enhance the overall capacity and performance of the storage system. It’s hardware core adopts PM1723B enterprise grade disk body and integrates deeply customized firmware, ensuring seamless integration, optimal performance, and highest reliability with storage hardware and software ecosystems.

NVMe dual port access: Supports Active Active dual controller redundant access. This is the cornerstone of achieving enterprise level high availability (HA), allowing two independent storage controllers to access the same hard drive simultaneously, ensuring uninterrupted business continuity in the event of any component (path, controller) failure.

Advanced power outage protection: Equipped with a complete power outage protection (PLP) mechanism, using a dedicated capacitor array to provide temporary power in case of unexpected power outage, all cached data is submitted to non-volatile NAND flash memory, fundamentally eliminating the risk of data loss.

End to end data integrity: From the host interface to the NAND medium, data path protection, cyclic redundancy check (CRC), and advanced error correction code (ECC) mechanisms are used throughout the process to ensure accurate and error free data.

Enterprise level management functionality: Fully supports NVMe Management Interface (NVMe MI) and S.M.A.R.T. logs, seamlessly integrated into Storage Insights and FlashSystem management interfaces, enabling predictive analysis, health status monitoring, and automated operations.
